    Ted

This is good article on Ted Richards from the Herald Sun...

I wasn't convinced about Ted at the start of the year but as this article shows, he was not confident in his abilities, whether he fitted in or not, and was basically waiting to be dropped.

In the past couple of months he has taken his game to a new level which is a credit to him and the coaching staff.

The comments from Sheedy are typically dismissive. Perhaps its time to revise the "never trade with Sheedy" rule. The old fool may have lost his touch.

He's done really well to bounce back after being dropped to the magoos, but I still think its too early to say whether the trade is a success. He's playing well in the role as a third defender or the man dropping back in the hole but I would think the success of the trade hinges on how he performs as a KPP in a couple of years time, perhaps when Leo retires.

IMO he is definitely our most improved. I was a bit iffy about him at the start but Roosy stuck with him and he has repaid that faith enormously.

He seems to have a real awareness about his play and his versatility is a huge bonus.

Imagine a lot of it has to do with self-confidence and having a decent coach in charge of him for a change.

As for Sheeds you are a mean and vindictive back-pocket plumber who is more interested in his supposed place in football history than the players he coaches.
Couldn't agree more Woodsy. The fella's playing extremely well and may just be destined for a little Leo Barry magic come tomorrow.

Plus, I just love seeing the rise of a player who never fitted in at their previous club.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Maybe, but I feel Sheeds is just covering his backside. He has to talk up the prospect that it will work out for Essendon because otherwise he looks the fool and edges slightly closer to the knife.

BIG TIP: Another poor season (read: miss finals?) by the Bombers next year will be the end of Sheeds. No pressure?
