Re-match yes, but will it be on next Saturday? I fear my brother may have cursed them again.

I don't know for sure but I can't imagine why the times would be different.

          Same place, same time.

How many draws would they have in a row before they declare football the winner and give everyone a medal?

Same tickets? Or, more likely, is this the AFL's, the MCG's and the ticketing agency's greatest dream?

                wetest dream for certain.

You thought the pleas for tickets was bad, wait for the 'Oh @@@@ I've thrown out our letters' panic.

If it's a draw it's my worst nightmare, because I won't be able to go next week.

It would be much better to lose by 100 so you don't have to miss out on anything.

                        Fiji or Grand Final.

If I choose the latter I also get the steak knives and a divorce.

Brother's wedding or GF? He's done this before too (96). This time he thought he was doing the right thing by putting it the week after. His fiancee and all her family are Swans members too - not to mention all us!

In 1977 after the replay (which looked like being a draw until the very end) they asked the Chairman of the VFL what would happen if the replay was a draw. His response was that they come back again... and again. He even proposed that they might have to merge the event with the Caulfield Cup.

A draw means a replay on October 7, MCG, 2:30 start. Tickets would probably go through presales (preference members and such) before been made availible to the public on Wednesday or Thursday (guessing).

If it's a draw, we'll all be broke after doing the trip again next weekend. Even worse for the Wet Toasters. It would be a logistical nightmare - do we have to register our barcodes all over again to get tix?
I can't believe that's still the rule - it may have been OK in the days of a locally-based competition, but with interstate travel involved it's ridiculous. This is one rule that should definately be changed, to bring in extra time. Don't know what about if it's still level after extra time. Maybe a penalty shootout...
