    I...love a parade

The reversals continue...Eagles up first and presented first.

Two new skippers with the cup: Leapin' and Judd. Spriggs and Voges spotted, Jolly must still be on his way.

Far more Eagles supporters though I thought. But it was like that last year IIRC.

yeah, just like last year. Somehow there were more Sydney Swans supporters in the MCG last year. Probably we'll see something similar... loved the view of 3 red and white bays right behind the goal posts

According to smh.com.au Weagles fans outnumbered Swans 10-1. Is this true?? Very disappointing if correct.

Meantime Darren Jolly is asleep in the hotel. I am worried!

I was there, watching from Flinders St train station.. It was probably even number off supporters from each side where I was.

I loved it how Davis was chatting on his mobile phone during the parade

Got to disagree - we are heavily outnumbered down here - there seem to be Weagles everywhere. They were also far nosier during the parade...

All cocky though - they've turned up as if its their God given right to win tomorrow...some I've spoken with really do believe its theirs already. It's going to be a long trip home for them....

Just got home from the parade and it was definitely 50/50 support for both sides. Swannies supporters seemed to be more spread out whereas the Eagles fans were in larger pockets dotted all over the place. Eagles fans were more vocal however.

In the press conference conducted immediately after the parade Roosey said that Jol's daughter was born at 12.19am and he'd only had about 4 hours sleep so was resting up at the hotel. Fair enough.

I just figured the Eagles fans have nothing else to cheer about!!

Did anyone else see eagles fan Danny Williams? They stuck a holden sign on him and attached a giant screen to his side.

I reckon majority of Sydney Swans supporters will come tomorrow like myself. I was at the parade last year when I was still living in Melbourne. This year work prevented me from going to Melbourne to watch it. And I'm glad, because I was sick and tired watching all those feral WCE supporters last year. And they definitely outnumbered us by a big margin.

Two empty seats in the train on the way in were filled at Collingwood by two senior (like us) WC supporters. We chatted all the way in to Parliament - nice people, nothing remotely like the ferals others here complain about. As things should be. And I guess we have our share of ferals too.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Those signs were brilliant, a lot of work was put into them.

Great Parade, most of the Eagles supporters I was close to were quite pleasant as well.
