Hey guys, I live on the west coast so gonna cop it come tuesday. But I thought gotta be proud of the way the guys played that second half. Big fan of Nicky D. so glad he stood up in that 3rd qtr. At the end of the day our fumbles in the first half cost us, but bring on 2007.

Unfortunately for the swans a number fo players got found out today just like Collingwood in 02/03. Players who struggled were
LRT- Proved that he is not a key defender at this level. Might be ok on average players during the year but does not have the nous or ability to compete against handy players at this level. Examples include not forcing Hansen to the boundary and not having touch on him as a defender absolutely unforgivable
Hall- Today showed that while he is a good player leading up the ground he is ordinary over head and struggles against quality defenders. Is good on a lead outside 50 however today under the pump his decision making was poor and his option to handbll after every mark was frustrating.
Buchanan- Fumbled under pressure too many times and did not have the impact the coaching staff would have expected (by the way i backed him for the Norm Smith)
      Players to stand out
Kirk- Ran himself into the ground and was a constant presence around the ground all day. A massive effort from a player often unfairly maligned by a few imbesciles on this site
Richards- His best game in the AFL. Showed he has what it takes to be a solid player at this level.
Dempster- Really lifted in 2nd half. Needs to realise he must drive the pill long when he gets it. Solid showing from up and comer
Fosdike- Quality game. Was everywhere and was a menace to the eagles all day.
      C. Bolton- Unsung hereo who yet again did a fine stopping job
To the fools who said Roos was to blame look at the following. Barry Hall could not impose himself, Buchanans fumble in the goalsquare. What could Roos have done about that? Jollys lack of influence in ruck. Doyle was good when he was on. Goodes had little to no influence which was good coaching on Worsfolds behalf. Lynch kicked a couple of rippers while Bolton missed a couple of sitters.
All in all probably one of the best grand finals i have watched. I think though the howls of protest from a number of people on here will be deafening. IMHO there was only one player not up to standard on the day and his lack of ability cost the Swannies at least 4 goals.

A great comeback showing the true spirit of Sydney, but alas not to be

LRT definitely not up to scratch and you could tell the coaching staff was worried by flying up SOS. You can't afford blokes who don't know what they're doing in defence.

if it's next year, then we'll end their hopes in making it back to back.

a crucial, painful loss. *sighs and tears*

LRT along with B1 and Bazza had shockers, now to huddle and cry in my foetal position till next season starts.

Jude Bolton choked and then dropped his bundle.

                  Close to our worst.

and i feel umps rooted us, but i dont want to watch to check if i was right or not

does anyone think the umps cost us?
Absolutely not. We were given some dubious umpiring calls in the second half, particularly the third quarter.

We had the best run we've had all year yesterday I think. More frees I50 than the whole year......combined.

Was Davis dead on his feet when he went off in the final quarter or did someone make a monumental @@@@ up with working out when his rest should be?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He had been beaten in the last couple of one on ones with Banfield. I suspect they were looking for a better option, match up.

So putting him on the bench with the game on the line was a strategic move?

We seem to be able to change player positions only through the bench!
