pretty much agree, especially the BOG's. davis, richards, kirk were standouts for me plus key moments for goodes, malceski, mcveigh, buchanan. i think kennelly was quite ok off the backline as well.

i'd give richards a rating of "up your **** kevin sheedy"
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Nice to see Sydney come out of a trade with Essendon, in a better position than before the trade for once.

Teddy would have been amongst the Swans BOG, also honourable mention to the Nick D and C Bolts

Haven't like Ted much all year but he was great today with Tadhg, ROK (early) and Davis.

I said (to BBQ guests only) at Q1 we should drag Hall and rely on Davis, MOL and smalls (Schnieds/Bucha) to kick goals.

Seemed to be beaten at our game most of the day.

Pretty average game - skills low on both sides.

Go to SCG tomorrow arvo and show some heart....

Hall - 4 Got sucked in but 60 less team possessions to half time didn't give him much supply.
Schneider - 4 Didn't put himself into the game enough. Some nice things.
Fosdike - 7.5 Got us back into the game in 3rd Q. Couple of ordinary disposals let him down.
                MOL - 6 - Ditto for BBH.
                O'keefe - 6 Good 1st Q and good second half.
J Bolton - -2 Choked, then seemed to drop his head. Would be pretty filthy on himself. Very poor game.
Buchanan - 1.5 Will have a cartlidge op on Wednesday. Took it into the game and played like it. Been carrying it for weeks.
Jolly - Nil Should have stayed in Sydney.
                Kirk - 10 Simply outstanding
Ablett - 2 Big loss through injury.
Goodes - 8 Went another level in 2nd half but could have won it if he kept going towards goal instead of dinky crap kick to MOL.
McVeigh - 4 Used as tagger but seemed to fumble a lot.
Kennelly - 7 Made one big blue. What on earth was he thinking.
LRT - 1 Apparently has a foot injury. Got a point for his goal.
                C Bolton - 6 OK
Richards - 8 Nearly won it himself with a lot of brave stuff. But...why did he not have a shot from 40M to put us in front
Malceski - 6 Did alright and kept at it all game.
Barry - 3 Lynch and Hunter towelled him up.
                Mathews - forgettable as usual
Davis - 7 Why oh why dont we play through him more often.
Doyle - 4 was Ok in 3rd Q with centre ruck work.
Dempster - 7 Got to stop using him as a stopper. Gave us something in last half and worked his butt off. He was on Embley. And Embley got the NS? Must use Dempster in more senior roles in future.

I'd agree with that initial analysis, but keeping in mind that some WC players nplayed better thannbefore on our players, and that is a stat you cant't contrl; na dshould probably take into considerestion.

So post those players again taking into account their opponents and how well they played and I'm sure ill agree again.

                  Anyea\\\\\ay, sucks to lose.

Best W#C joke so far (I bet) is

"w\hats, better than beating Sydnet by 100 points?"

                  "beating them bu 1 point"

OK, that;s a ollingwood joke, but I bhet iot's been adapted.

I'd give Leo 6 - I thought he was right on the hammer of his man almost all day; there wasn't much more he could have done to stop Lynch take the marks he did, especially when the ball came in so quickly to FF. However he didn't provide much of his usual rebound.

Hall didn't have a great game but he did continue to present all day. He had very few chances to mark the ball out in front away from Glass. If he'd kicked those two sitters, he'd get 6 or 7. But he missed, so 4 is probably a fair score. Borrowing from another thread - if only he'd kicked those goals. If only he'd had a shot late in the last quarter rather than handball to McVeigh.

Kirk and Ted were our only really good players. Fosdike, MO'L, Davis, CBolt, McVeigh, Kennelly, Goodes, O'Keefe, Malceski, Dempster, Barry, Doyle all had decent games.

Hall - 5 not as bad as some think took some grabs and the defence smothered him, deserved a few frees, but those missed shots were awful
Schneider - 5.5 provided a bit of spark late
                            Fosdike - 7 solid effort
MOL - 6.5 pretty good game
O'keefe - 6 didnt do as much as he could or should of but was ok
J Bolton - -5 i think he fought hard as always when it wasnt his day
Buchanan - 3 cant get the first quarter fumble out of my head
Jolly - 1 and the one is for having a kid chambers would of played better
Kirk - 6 hot the ball and played well late, but i saw him waiting and standing still a lot
                            Ablett - 4 average game
Goodes - 7 last half almost won us the game
McVeigh - 5 pretty good when we were charging not a bad game
Kennelly - 6 was okish, seen him play better
LRT - 4 at least he made a fight back
C Bolton - 6.5 he was our best early when we sucked
Richards - 10 his best game i ever saw him play

Malceski - 6 was pretty good for a young guy
Barry - 3 he is too small for a full back
Mathews 6 i thought he was quite good especially by his standards
Davis - 8 would of been the match winner if they passed to him more, he had class, especially when no one else did, took marks and was clean and i think banfield should of been penalised for his so called defence
Doyle - 6 i think jolly made him look good and he was quite reasonable
Dempster - 7 good effort for a young guy

i dunno im proud of these guys, jolly and hall sucked today yeh but a great year when many wrote them off, they are a great team and i dont care if its stupid to be proud of them
