this one you can put into perspective because we won last year and dont need to be on the verge of suicide.

i thought it was a ripper game and especially second half. and to say that after a 1 point GF loss means it was one of the best games going around.

introduces a good hypothetical. What would you be feeling if we had lost by 2 last year and then lost by 1 this year?

we have broken the drought so i think the future is still bright.

I don;'t really care anymore. We lost and that is that. Roos has done well to get the club to where it is and i for one couldn't be any more grateful. Yes i am a shattered man after the GF loss, but when you look at what he has done to the club since he has taken over i am not disappointed one bit. Yes we can look back and say "If only..." but to make 2 GF's in a row says something about Roos and while i'd love to have gone back to back i can still say i am proud to be a Swans fan in knowing we are still a formidable team to beat.

Crazy. Imagine a 1 point loss after 72 years. This one is bearable because we won last year.

Definitely. That was our attitude on the way home, and also Roos' view in his press conference.

I feel the same way. Two Grand Finals, one premiership each. The last two years have produced as many Grand Final appearances as the previous 68 years. We are living in good times indeed. I don't think they are over yet; I think we will be thereabouts again next year.

Which is probably why we got blown away in the first half. WC wanted it more.

Exactly - As Roos said, it would have been good to win both flags but we could have just as easily won neither. If someone had said after the season in 2004 that we would be in two less-than-a-goal difference GF's in the next two years and would we be satified to win one, I think we all would have answered yes.

Roos said in his press conference that if someone had offered him a one point GF loss at the half way point of this year he would have grabbed it with both hands!

                        Certainly seemed that way.

Like one of you fellas said, this is easier to take than last year. If we'd lost last year and then lost this year by a point, like Roosy, I wouldn't be posting this, because I'd be swinging in the breeze above a freeway.

That memory of Goodes crying will forever be etched in my mind.

All in all, it was a memorable day and a great Grand Final.

I agree, we have tasted success and have a philosophy to continue building on. The second half proved the that.

I am disappointed, but we were our own worst enemy in the first half, the inability to convert the given opportunities proved so costly.

West Coast showed the determination that we displayed last year. Worsfold extracted that from his players and won the day.

                            Bring on next season.....

i mean if somehow i could choose which game we would of won id choose this years just have us run it down and get one more goal, i think cos it would be the better game to watch on the dvd
