Was very impressed with Ted. Great reading of the play at times, and a hardness from a guy we have not really seen before.

      Very happy with Ted.

BTW - I read many of the articles in the paper today about the game. Was quite interesting and cathartic. Nothing but praise for both sides.

Annie, I read it in one of the Melbourne papers before I left the surgery this morning, don't know which one, but it's there.

And on Richards, his form turned around after he was played exclusively down back. He was back and forward all over the place early in the year. I'd suggest his early season good form was typical of 90% of players trying to impress at a new club. When he finally was asked to hold down a permanent spot in the backline, he turned his season around for the better.

I hope I didn't make you that sick that you had to seek attention.

Appatrently there are aliens in Sunbury, according to my kids, Chris Judd was haunting us last night.

Just a slight hangover. Coffee with toast and vegemite at the surgery of Doctor J. was just the tonic needed for the 9 hour trip home

Glad you only had a slight hangover, mine was massive. Drinking beer with out dinner isn't a good recipe. I should have visited Drj's Surgery, but I didn't surface until midday.

Ted (who has now reclaimed the Super Ted mantle for at least the next 3 games) is a good example of why the GF gives very little reason to fear for Sydney's future.

I don't want to say 'I told you so' (because I didn't: I was only ever cautiously optimistic), but he certainly had the raw makings of a good player. You can teach a player how to play within the team structure, and instil greater confidence in him (two of the things that Ted was lacking earlier in the year). You can't teach a player (of his age) to be quick and a strong overhead mark. They're two pretty useful attributes. Hopefully will only improve further as he is given more challenging roles in 2007 (a la LRT 2004/5).

PS While, listening to the radio commentary replay today, I'd concede that Kennelly did more in the 2nd half than I'd noticed at the ground, I still think that Sheahan voting him 2nd-BOG was bizarre bordering on surreal. He'd barely make the list of my best 8 or 10 Sydney players.

He was awesome, I thought he actually turned the game and almost won it off his own boot. I would have had him as the Norm Smith, a true champion in years to come.

He is definately now SuperTed after that inspiring grand final performance. I just so wish we got over the line so his unbelievable efforts would reward him.
