    Longmire

Anyone heard anything in the last few days about his chances of staying? Seems to be the frontrunner for the Saints job in many footy commentators' minds.

For Longmire, it would be great if he got the job. Everyone who knows him speaks very highly of him and says he's ready for a senior gig.

Being entirely selfish, an ideal outcome would be for Gary "I've only ever coached Australia and even then we lost" Lyon to be appointed as Saints coach and us to keep Longmire for one more year.

Liz you go to feather your own nest some times theres nothing wrong with being selfish.

Gary had a sort of "I've got the job if no one else wants it" smirk on his face at the 3AW tent on Saturday...but I wonder....surely the drunks wouldn't go for an unproven coach when Butters has held up Woosha /Roosey/and Craigey (that's moron talk for Worsfold, Roos and Craig) as the very model of a modern coach.

"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Surely after the Tim Watson experiment they wouldn't even consider Gary Lyon.

If Longmire does go, there were rumours Alistair Lynch will be the next forwards coach.
