        Swans 2006 AFL Report Card

Just noticed that it's been published on AFL.com.
(Sorry dudes, don't know how to attach a link!!)

        Bottom line (or paragraph) ....

What we say: The Swans depth or lack of it is probably the only thing that can stop Paul Roos' team from challenging for premiership honors again next season. The Swans will keep their entire Grand Final 22 together again for next season and their 'window of opportunity' to win a premiership is far from closed considering that even their oldest players such as Barry Hall, Leo Barry, Brett Kirk and Michael O'Loughlin will still only be 30 or turn 30 next season. The bulk of the team however is young and has considerable scope for improvement. But is the question of 'How will the Swans' cope if they ever get a run of bad injuries' that appears the only negative against them at present. Apart from Paul Bevan, the injured Jared Crouch and the emerging Heath Grundy, there is little on their list - outside of the Grand Final 22 - other than untried youngsters, a problem summed up by the fact that Spriggs was one of their emergencies on Grand Final day even though he did not play a senior game all year. But provided they stay injury-free in 2007, as they have done in the past two years, expect the Swans to again be premiership contenders next year.

Do you reckon they've put the mocka's on us???
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
