    Goodsey for Captain?????

    You know when one of the players say something like .... "he'll be leading us next year and we're gunna follow him 100%", like Kirky did re BBBH after the game .... isn't that usually the kiss of death???

    Whaddya reckon????

    Goodsey for Captain 2007.

      The [insert club] football club board gives its 100% support and stands behind [insert coach name] for the full term of his current contract.

      Guaranteed to be sacked, you see it over and over, but it still makes me laugh.
      I think "standing behind" someone in football just means you are looking for a good knife entry point

      As for Goodesy, I'd love to see him as captain, but equally think any of Hall, Kirk or Barry would be great, and abundance of captain types can only auger well for the club.

                                  Goodes will be captain of the team one day, but I don't think it'll be next year. Probably when Hall, Kirk and Barry retire.
