    the comeback

I am sharing the paid but ina way proud of the boys cause at halftime not many were giving us a chance .. I knew momentum could swing our way and ina GF its hard to stop I think we just needed a share of or the lead outright to really break their backs..

Now another if, if we won how does that stand in regards point deficit comebacks in grand finals, had to be right up there, and soemthing that we should eb proud of even without the silverware

I alluded to this in a recent post.

Had we won it would have ranked alongside Carlton in 1970.

However because we fell short, I doubt many will recall our comeback in 26 years time.

It wouldn't really have been alongside Carlton's 1970 comeback nor Essendon's 1984 comeback.

Gee, I dunno! Carlton came from 44 points down at half time and won by 10. We were 25 points down at half time.

Essendon in 1984 were 25 points down at half time, 23 points down at 3Q time and proceeded to have a 9 goal blitz in the last quarter to win by 24. Obviously, some have forgotten that one!

A Bomber blitz. Interesting choice of words there.

Sorry to drag up old nightmares what about the Roos against us in 96.We were 23 or so up and they won by 43 typical NM if only Kelly had of hit Lockett on the chest.More if only's.

I was clearly too young to remember! Also I tend to ignore Bombers' history where I can.
