Also, if we lose Longmire - who steps in to coach the seconds?
well stewie was sniffing around at the freo game (I have photographic evidence) and I wouldn't mind putting a wager on that he will become a coach of some kind in the future and I would like to think at the swans

At some stage Maxfield has to look at the larger picture.

He will obviously work out proper access for his kids with his wife or he will be one of the few who doesnt, there is no reason why the Family Court would not give him a good degree of access and that would mean he could relocate to Sydney.

He has a few years ahead of him and he cant work as a scout for the rest of his working life. His future is in football and Sydney under Paul Roos is the answer. he has natural coaching ability a point that would not be lost on Roos and Colless.

His wife will get over being @@@@@@ off unless she is in the too hard basket and goes feral.

I'm not a great fan of his football career but great players dont necessarily make great coaches - have a look at the current crop and their assistants.

Maxfield is capable and holds the players respect. Give him a job midfield or Forwards and Cressa is a possibility although I am unsure if Cresswell and Maxfield could work closely togethor, Cresswell was never happy about being overlooked for the Captains pos.

Stewie is the sort of person who would make a very good coach. He shouls be kept at the club-if possible.

Hmmm....not sure where you get your info. Didn't Cressa and Stewie have a personal training business together in Sydney?

Don't believe that about Cressa upset at being overlooked for Captain. Sounds like crap to me.

Hardly surprising given Roos isn't going now until 2009.

So I guess the answer to my original question is "one"!

Source? I thought he was still seeing what was available based on a request form his wife, or is it confirmed now?

So we'll need at least one more coach given Longmire or Lyon will get the Saints gig.

I still think we should make a big offer to Voss... there can be no harm in asking.

Peter was so open with me on Friday night about planning on moving that it seemed obvious that it was pretty well done and dusted.

Hard to say just from general conversation and body language but John Longmire seemed pretty confident he'd be moving on, too.
