    Another drunken Magpie arrested

    This time it's Didak.

That club has serious disciplinary problems. It hardens my resolve that we DON'T go after Tarrant.

It's off-season. Young men get drunk and often obnoxious when they are in that state. While I do agree that footballers (and others in the public eye) probably do have a slightly higher duty to behave reasonably, I really don't think anyone should get hung out to dry just for having an argument in a drunken state, unless there was violence involved.

I'm sure there are players from all clubs- including the Swans - who have misdemeanours such as this in their history.

Maybe so, but Collingwood does have a big problem with player discipline, and its nothing new. Remember earlier in the year when Tarrant got @@@@y and was in that fight? Malthouse's response was "if he was a lesser player then he wouldn't play" in other words: "he's good at football so I don't care if he killed bambi's mother."

I refute that other clubs have such an endemic problem. If a swan does anything like that he knows its off to the reserves for 6 weeks - just ask Davis. Form doesn't matter when it comes to discipline. Cousins lost the captaincy, Gardiner was given the heave-ho, etc. These clubs know to make examples of such acts so other players don't follow suit. At Collingwood it doesn't matter as long as you can play, and that is why they will always have trouble with the playing group.

At least he didn't do a runner then stab the driver, when he chased them.

He obviously wasn't drunk if he could tell the difference between $10 and $25.

I just love it when people earning $300-400K enjoy squibbling over $15 for a cab fare! It is just such a classy thing to do!

To get drunk and fight over a cab fare is one thing. To squibble over $15 is just pathetic to be honest!

When I get drunk I don't 'squibble' over cab fares and I certainly have never been arrested.

ok this made me laugh....apparently he was not drunk but they claim he was stumbling...which just quietly anyone who just had a knee recon (which he just did apparently) would be doing

                      so who knows...

What - he should just donate extra money to anyone who wants it because he earns decent money!?!

According to the Collingwood Football Club the driver demanded a $25 up-front payment from the player for a trip to Kew.

?Didak wished to be taken home and the driver insisted on being paid $25 for what was a $10 trip.?

The taxi driver probly didnt even know who he was.I think its fair to ask for money up front at night. So people dont do a runner.

Eddie Maguire came out yesterday and said that he wasn't drunk but was stumbling around because he'd just had a knee operation which made him wobble and "appear drunk". I don't think we needto look any further that Collingwood has a discipline issue and likes to cover up bad press.

You don't ask for double the fare!!
