    Let's get Thorton

As good as Leo is, i still think our FB position is one of our weakest points, and let's face it, Leaping Leo wouldn't be playing FB is most other sides, he's just the best we've got, and need help!

I'm just tossing this up as a suggestion, but does anyone agree that LRT and a 3rd round draft pick would be a good trade for Thorton? he's a young FB and i've seen him completely dominate Lloyd a number of times.

He has nominated Hawthorn as the club he wants to go to...so would be hard to change his mind.

He obviously has a thing for stripes and staying in Melbourne.

Maybe as part of a 3 way deal for Spider

Spider to Swans, we send someone to Blues (e.g. Spriggs), Thornton to Hawks. There would probably have to be a few more parts to the deal

This may take some of the pressure off giving up a first round draft pick...as Carlton are already pretty well off for draft picks

It's never too late to change his mind lol, but i have no interest in gaining Spida, i can't see how he's going to have a significant impact on our game. Sydney's cancer is it's FB position, Spida is a bandaid. Let's not put a bandaid over our cancer

Carlton want, and rightly so, a first round pick.

Will be interesting to see if the Hawks give it up.

Do you think he's worth a 1st rounder? and would Roosey consider it?

Not sure if our 15 would be enough - they want a pick 6 from the Hawks.

Can you image Leo in the weekly team meetings - "Leo...you've got Richo this week"...."You're @@@@in' what?"

I'd like to see this next year - never going to happen...no Ben Matthews - First selection

                    Swans Back 6 Round 1:

Leo Barry Ted Richards Paul Bevan
Craig Bolton Luke Vogels Nick Malcheski

Where does Tadgh go? -->midfield... attacking midfielder.

Might not agree with Vogels, but he's got something. I think he's 23 now? (They picked him up as a 21 y.o)...you've got to give him a decent chance or drop him off the list.

Also I'm not sure, but I think Ted might be a meat head. So it would be good to have Leo in the last line of defense to help him out. (Not sure if he's suited to FB...but there's only one
                    way to find out!)

Grundy could also be developed into a Hunter type player - swinging between FF and FB (I think he was originally picked up as a FB?) Vogels alao has this versitility.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

If Ted's a meat head what is Bevan. Certainly not premium mince that's for sure. I am hoping like hell some stupid club falls for Bevan in trade week. Maybe Hawthorn will absolutely demand a player like Bevan.
