That must be a record! Obviously Brisbane didn't play hard ball too much... what did the Dogs give up?"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

What, this is an outrage. Its an unwritten rule that you can't trade on the first day of trade week.

Didnt even take that long he was gone by 10:15 this morning, trade week starts at 10:30am.Originally posted by james_law90
After only 1hr and 17 minutes of the trade period, Akermanis has already been traded to the Doggies. Hopefully in days to come, Sydney will pick up Tarrant and Everitt....thoughts...Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Smart move by doggies. Get it out of the way so other "stories" take the media attention later in the week....OR....Aker negotiated to sign early so he could maximise his last days in the spotlight.Comment

Big plus for their forward line.
They probably traded some decent draft picks. They don't really need any more young talent at the moment.Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Maybe, maybe not. Aker was damned sure that if he wasn't traded to the Dogs then he was quite happy to play in the QAFL for a year and drain away Brisbane's money. Considering his pay packet that's quite enough incentive to move him.Originally posted by 573v30
The Dogs must've given away some good draft picks to snatch Aker, I doubt the Lions would just give him away without some compensation...10100111001 ;-)Comment

I hope it comes out that Aker was traded for a meat pie and a packet of salt and vinegar chips.....that would be an excellent parting shot by the Lions....Originally posted by laughingnome
