Lets hope its not the same middle initial as the one at Richmond. Nathan $ Brown.

        Ben Reid

Clinton Benjamin if we are really lucky...Described as an Adam Goodes type.

Also Tim Schmidt's cousin IIRC Chris will be in this draft. Rated as a late first round early 2nd round choice and looked pretty good playing for SA in the under 18s shown on Fox earlier in the year. Seems to be a tall back/utility type with silky skills.

And don't forget Andrejs Everitt who is very similar type to Chris Schmidt.

Like the look of Eric McKenzie, 195cm 91kg defender. Could get taken earlier, but there would be stranger things than him going at 15.

Good big kids who aren't midfielders tend to automatically get put into the forward line (and have to be taught to play defence later in life), so it's good to see that he's regarded as a 'genuine' defender.

Even though I know that Grundy's played a full year of SANFL at full back (and some judges pre-draft thought he'd be a better fit in defence), I just cannot see him having either the pace or the style to be a long-term defender for the Swans. Whereas he can 'make it' as a forward. If he's pegged as a specialist forward, and Vogels can play either end but is more comfortable in attack, then I think our KPP needs tend more towards defence.

Clinton Benjamin does look very good (and vaguely Goodes-like), as well. It does actually look like a very good draft, in the sense that no matter how initial picks fall out there will still be some excellent youngsters available at #15. Here's hopin'.

I like liz's list. I believe it should be a midfielder with some possibles being Joseph Anderson (NT), Leroy Jetta (WA), Clint Benjamin(WA), Bachar Houli (Vic) or the other Brown-Mitchell.
Jack Riewoldt is not that good.

I think it was Tom Hislop who was either top or high up in all the agility tests at the draft camp and doesn't seem to figure in the top 10 by the pundits. Anyone know about his profile as he looks like he would be in contention come our pick.

I've barely seen any of these players play, so I'm not holding out to be an expert. But Anderson's name hasn't been mentioned by anyone in dispatches of possible early picks. Those "in-the-know" suggest he may be a late draft pick, or even a rookie.

I was impressed by his performance in the first NT game of the U18 championships earlier this year. His reading of the play and cool head were noticeable.

From my hazy memories of the first half of the Grand Final, maybe he wouldn't fit in with the Swans team then?

No offence, but if you think we need another midfielder plodding around, i hope you're smoking something, for that surely isn't the idea of a conscious mind

Wouldn't surprise me to see him drop to us and if he did we should really consider him. But Richmond and Collingwood would be on the look out for a player like him also.

It will also be interesting where Craig Bird ends up.
Hopefully he will last till the rookie draft so we can zone him but considering his current form and publicity i don't think we'll be so lucky.

How happy would Richmond feel given that the Clokes went to Collingwood.

                                Too young. Not an option.
