    The loss of Ross

What does it mean for the midfield? Will we see are more attacking middle in 2007? And what does it mean for the St Kilda midfield. Will Ball, Del Santo and co become the stoppage kings the Sydney midfiled became under Lyon and will Gardiner be able to get fit enough to manage. But what of the Swans midfiled. If you were Spriggs would you hang around, hoping for a change of direction in the middle?

Hey ROK I reckon you and I have bagged Lyon over the past few years due to our poor centre clearances etc.

I also think some wrong assumptions have been made about Roos Lyon being the mastermind of our stoppages game plan. If you listen to some of the "experts" on SEN you would reckon Lyon has been our sleeper coach. Spare me please.

I would expect our centre clearances to improve rather than suffer from his departure. Maybe Jude Bolton might become a centre clearance king instead being a blocker. Also we might get some variation with the likes of Dempster getting a go in the guts.

Having Spida in the middle will influence how well we will go net year in the middle far more than whether Ross Lyon is around or not.

We play a high stoppage game, Spida gives us that weapon we are looking for in being able to clear the ball to our advantage more in 2007.

Should hopefully mean we take our attacking game even further next year.
