By the time he had Davis one out in the 50, MOL was exhausted and in fact spent the last few minutres on the bench..i think he was on the bench when Davis had the two one out contests

Thompson's decision to take himself off was backed by his team and his coach..he was of only negative value to his team by that stage..Roos obviously decided MOL was in the same boat with a couple of minutes to go..O'Loughlin was playing twenty metres from where i sat and he could absolutely not walk!
Now if MMG believes that MOL"s lack of fitness is a coaching issue, then go for it..I personally think that nursing those knees through all but 5 minutes of a 26 game season is a great feat by all at Sydney.
If you are referring to Davis being one out in the 50 for the last couple of minutes, I also thought that a sound coaching decision..he was involved in 2 one outs and lost both, but the target was there for the rest of the team..not EVERY game can be won!
