      SYDNEY
      B: Kennelly, Barry, Schneider
      HB: B2, BLT, Malceski
      C: Goodes, Kirk, Ablett
      HF: McVeigh, Hall , O'Keefe
      F: O'Loughlin, Everitt, Davis (!!!)
      FOLL: Jolly, Buchanan, Crouch
      I/C: Mathews, Fosdike, Doyle, Grundy
      EMG: Moore, Dempster, Vogels [/B][/QUOTE]

Was going to leave Doyle out, but I am pretty sure all 3 will play when fit and available.... Dempster the one to make way.

HB is probably the best spot for he (and Tadhg realistically), particuarly playing on the SCG.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

          B: Crouch, Richards, Barry
          HB: Kennelly, LRT, C Bolton
          C: J Bolton, Kirk, Malceski
          HF: Davis, Hall, O'Keefe
          F: O'Loughlin, Everitt, McVeigh
          FOLL: Jolly, Goodes, Buchanan
          I/C: Doyle, Fosdike, Ablett, Schneider
          EMG: Moore, Dempster, Vogels, Grundy

          My rationale:

Crouch and Barry can both play defence and give run off the full back line.
Richards is probably our best option at full back given size and mobility.

Kennelly and C Bolton to give run off half back.
See how much LRT can progress next year at CHB.

Malceski on wing to give some run and drive into F50.
Centre square option of Goodse, Buchanan, Kirk and a ruckman is our best option for clearances.

Davis and O'Keefe on HFF as long goal kickers and to go up into the midfield.
Hall at CHF, also a long goal kicker, and to give us good link between wing and FF.

Ruckmen to rotate between ruck, FF and bench. Gives us a big, strong marking target at FF. Enables MOL and McVeigh to feed off crumbs or to provide alternate leads.

Plenty of run off the bench.

All emergencies have a chance of breaking into side.

Kennelly and C Bolton to give run off half back.
Agree totally. Run from Kennelly & Bolton is critical

Crouch and Barry can both play defence and give run off the full back line.
I think we're losing a lot of our On-ball pace by taking Crouch out of the centre or off the ball altogether.

Malceski on wing to give some run and drive into F50.
Not entirely disagreeing but I think Davis gives us a lot of penetration into the fwd line from the wing and Malceski's natural ability is best served on the back line.

Centre square option of Goodse, Buchanan, Kirk and a ruckman is our best option for clearances.
Goodes on the Wing and Kirk in the centre, no doubt. But I think Buchanan gives us a little bit more "mongrel" in the fwd line and teams up well with Schneider.

Plenty of run off the bench.
                    Agree.

Davis and O'Keefe on HFF as long goal kickers and to go up into the midfield.
Agree O'Keefe & Hall, but Davis will get involved from the wing, and Buchanon for the same reasons above.

All emergencies have a chance of breaking into side.
Agree. But what about Phillips?? Any hope?

Hall at CHF, also a long goal kicker, and to give us good link between wing and FF.
Agree with this strategy. But think it would be enhanced with Davis & Goodes providing that additional "precision" delivery

And a bench of Ablett, Doyle, J Bolton & Fosdike provides run as well as the spare Fwd.

Has there been any updated injury news on Crouchy?
Will he be OK to start in 2007?

TK for sure would add more run through center. The FB/HB lines im a little as to where to position them, but they all can move around except Leo and LRT.Leave LRT at CHB give him another chance.Goodes plays where ever he likes so Melceski can move up to the center to take his spot when Goodes floats around. If the BL needs help TK can drop back.(or we can congest the BL)I dont think theres any room for B1 to start on the park any more.As well if its a dry day we could drop Dempster to emergency and replace with Doyle for more height.
