    SCG Redevelopment

Was told that the ground would be reduced to 30 000 and that the Sydney Swanies were asking for some money because of it.

Anyone know if this is true.

More details in the Herald today:

I don't understand why they don't just demolish the Messenger and O'Reilly stands while they're at it and extend the new stand right around. Surely that is money well spent.

And don't even get me started on the Noble / Bradman.

Actually the interesting part is, if you look at the picture, the O'Reilly appears to be made over with 3 levels...perhaps plans for the future or false advertising!

Just noticed that... very false advertising I'd say!

say hello to corporate areas....the real reason these expansions occur is to allow for better and more corporate boxes, where the real money comes in!

I think its a good idea and about bloody time.

And there is no doubt they will do the same with the Bradman and Noble stands eventually too, but let's take it one at a time.

I reckon that the new stand actually wont impact us too much, since the areas its being put into seat a fairly small number of people currently. Of course if you LIKE to sit there then there will be an issue, and the Cheer Squad will need to be relocated...

Let's hope they build quality amenities in the new stand too.

More ladies dunnies than mens (at the SCG ... that'll be the day!!).
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Was told today that of the remaining seats left while redevelopement is on the go a further 2000 seats would be held onto by the swans for other things.Melbourne members will get dibs at the tickets as well as other corprate clients. So it looks like you members up in sydney will loose even more seats.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

Looks like those of us on the Brewrongle concourse will be receiving new seats again!! It's only been 6 years since the last ones.
It looks like they are going to be dark green.

Notice the new seats being installed in the right hand side.
