    Maybe not all round player.....

But considering that we use him as a ruck man.. where White is a good player who can ruck.... I think that you COULD reasonabley argue that Jolly is a better ruck man...

Goodes. I remember in the Eade days when he'd be erratic and get pulled back to the bench for a tirade and just looked under the pump. I know he'd been rated highly as a kid but it looked like it was never going to happen. If you had told Eade (at the time) that he'd be a dual Brownlow medallist he would have laughed.

Watching Goodes play under the scope Roos gave him was a revelation. Finally you could see what the fuss had been about. But then he looked like he'd lost it again after he did his knee. And here he is again - one of the most admired players in the comp (and a community leader!) A great success story that looked very unlikely.

I agree that Amon is a similar story to Kirky...probably just hasnt reached the heights...yet, e.g. captain or B&F

I visited two websites lately that mentioned him

One had a worse players to play for Sydney 1999-2003 and he was in it

The other had a revised 2000 draft based on current form. He was originally drafted at 52 - the revised draft had him at 12.

Thats a big leap up in his football 'share price'

                        Williams was never a zero.

Drew Petrie at 2 looks a bit high...but i think they assume that StKilda would have wanted his 'type' of player

It's a tough one, but I'm going to go with Monty. He might not have gotten the recognition of some of the others, but he too was a pretty late pick - drafted as a goalsneak from Geelong IIRC - but to come back after being delisted to kick the winning goal in a grand final is pretty heroic.
