    Best Hero to zero story....

The other article on RWO Chat made me think of the reverse with players we have lost and how they went at other clubs....

My award winner for this catagory is Barry Mitchell who went from star player to deadbeat at two different clubs

P.S. Warrick Capper is not too far behind (perhaps needs his own catagory!!)

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Considering the draft pick we got in return, Brett O'Farrell would have to be up there.

Even though he is a loser, Rocca actually played better with Collingwood than with us.

That's totally a given ... he was a hero when he joined the swans and a zero when he left ... that counts.

                Jinx......

He was terrible for us... but no doubt, did improve at Collingwood... But they can keep him. Despite his naturally ability and strength.. he never appealled to me at all (As a player of course.. )

Just didn't seem to fit into our mould at all....

I agree with NMW about Pitura...but you have to be a bit long in the tooth to know the story.
He had me so excited in the early 70's with his looooong left foot kicking & kicked some great goals from memory...an absolute champ in the making..then shot through to Richmond...& faded quickly into obscurity.

Didn't Rocca publically declare that he wanted to stay in Victoria before the draft?

At the time he was touted as the next big thing since sliced bread ... he went home sooking to mummy cause the big bad smoke was too mean and nasty to him ... all they wanted him to do was perform. It was all too, too much for little sooky pants Rocca. Can't stand him.

Agree totally on Rocca which is why he was never a "hero" - always a "zero"!
