Round 14, Sydney v Fremantle is heritage round.

In these rounds we normally wear the South Melbourne jumper and Freo the South Freo strip (white with three concentric red vs). A jumper clash for sure.

I wonder what Goofy and the AFL Blockheads will decide on this occassion.

I suggest, given Freo are the visitors (and in the event of a jumper clash the visiting team is required to use their alternative strip) they use the East Freo colors (blue and white). Alternatively, if the game was in Perth, Sydney would wear the previous South Melbourne?, Albert Park?, Emerald Hill? colors, also blue and white. Problem solved.

And why have we never played a heritage round game in Melbourne? I'm sure many original South Melbourne supporters would love to see us play in the South colors (not just the socks!) in Melbourne.
Supporting the club formerly known as South Melbourne ?

very dissappointed with march 31 and us playing west coast at Telstra. march 31 will be a logistical nightmare with horse racing, super14 Waratahs v crusaders and an NRL match on all concurrently.I was also looking forward to see the waratahs v crusaders game by the way

Couldn't give a toss about the Rah Rahs, or the horse racing.
Fingers crossed no clash on the league fixtures when they come out.

The last time we played Collingwood in Melbourne, when Nick Davis sealed the game midway thru the last quarter, they wore the heritage jumper.

            Not quite correct.

That jumper was the Team of the Century jumper.

Yes ND sealing the game with about his 4th kick for the night. Pies fans went ballistic.

Here's an article from afl dot com re the games to watch out for in 2007.
They say we have the "dream draw".
How do we have a dream draw when the wobbles play nearly all their games in Vic. It's just wrong!!

Sorry, they discuss the draw in detail here ...

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Telstra Dome..... Saturday evening..... about 50,000 in the place.. unfortunately most of them toothless knuckle draggers.... but the right team one in a fairly close game....

Tricky Nicky's bomb from 50m on a greater than 45 degree angle still gets me sexually aroused...
