Kennelly...hopefully no repeat of Crouch's irish experience

    Kennelly the threat

Hopefullly he isn't targeted and set his year back, ala Crouch two years ago (Taken him two years to "recover")
    Staying ahead of the game...

"We've got some great defensive players to go on him (including) Jim McDonald and it might even be one of his own team-mates from the Sydney Swans (that plays on him), but he's probably the one player that we're mindful of the fact that we don't want a great impact."
If one of his own teammates causes him any injuries then i will personally slap them across the face next year.

None of them better get any injuries.

There was a Tiff Cherry documentary made two years ago about the last Australian tour to Ireland. In it they showed some footage of Gary Lyon's pre-game address to the Australian team and he kept going on and on about Kennelly, using some pretty ordinary language, to implore the Australians not to let him dominate the game.

He's obviously a pretty important part of the Irish team but I think the reason the Australian coaches keep bringing his name up as the "danger player" probably has as much to do with the fact that he's the one they know the most about.

        Yep....

It's about the only name Shhedy and Frawley can pronounce... Hence the only guys they ever talk about....

If any aussie player damages him there's gunna be trouble!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

So you could say that last's years IR cost us the flag in 2006? If Crouch had played in the GF it probably would have been worth at least 2 points.

                  a) It was two years ago that Crouch played and was injured.

                  b) you could speculate that O'Keefe, Bolton, Bolton, Kennelly, Davis, Buchanan, Hall, Goodes etc maybe would not be as good players as they are today without the motivational experience of representing their country. And hence we'd have missed the finals for the past 3 seasons.

                  Who knows?

But wasn't it an ongoing shoulder injury plus knee, ankle and, according to BF, testicles that forced him to drop out this season? So the Irish not only inflicted Enya on us but cost us back-to-back flags. And all they have given us is Tiger and Guinness widgets.

The most important question is : Do I care? No!
So bugger off and stop asking these annoying questions.

Sorry, but you need to remind us to run everything past you before we post. We know it's all about you but sometimes we forget.

And meaningless threads like this discussion (and all discussion since 5pm Sept 30) are just to fill in time until Baz does his knee in the first IR that begins in 36 hours and we can get down to contemplating 2007 without him.

Oh sorry, people, I thought some of you've got a life. It looks to me I'm the only one.

Love your work, but lay off Tiger. I seem to remember him kicking a goal in the Swans' 2005 premiership win. What was the margin in that game again?
