    Ackland leaves Saints for Blues

Good pick up for Carlton seeing as French retired. If he can stay on the park should be their number 1 ruckman. Meanwhile, for St Kilda, lots more pressure now on Gardiner to perform.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

not just perform, actually stay on the ground for any length of time. considering gardiners injury history combined with the Aints luck with injuries he may play 5-6 games top.

They seem to be getting a few good pick ups. With their draft picks the last few years - should see them in the 8 in 2-3 years.

Surely now that Mal Michael is up for grabs in the PSD that they'll think twice about getting Hack-land.
