I'd like to add the the sentiment that he is a tool by saying he is a tool.

That's the sort of thing that can have a huuuuge impact on a career.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

He's misunderstood. Putting a barman in a headlock in Ireland is the same thing as a cuddle. He was just sharing the love. Poor old Fev.

Whats the problem?? I'm living in Sydney but am from Salthill Galway. It's all part of a good night out in Galway. Seems a bit harsh to me.

Typical Demitrispew decision when it comes to Carlton. He is a vindictive little @@@@@.

That being said he @@@@@@ up and should have known better and deserves the punishment.

Unfortunately the AFL isnt even with their punishments. I mean lets be honest the AFL will make an example of a bloke like Fev but wont do the same with a certain coke head ex captain who continually stuff up.

And to those calling him a thug wake up. Witnesses allege he was provoked and all he did was put the bloke in a headlock. Also the police arnt laying charges and they have had the benefit of watching the incident on security recordings. At least Fev has alcohol as an excuse unlike another player who was stone cold sober when he decided to king hit someone in the middle of an airport.

I dont beleive in "at least they have alcohol as an excuse." It's poor form. Like that rapist last week that said "I was addicted to Ice and it made me angry, so I couldnt help it."

Don't get me wrong, I know the effects of alcohol and as someone that frequently gets herself into trouble and makes bad decisons becasue of alcohol induced states, it shouldnt be an excuse. People have to be accountable for their actions.

If you know alcohol puts you in a bad position (as Fev does, hence his alcohol ban this season) then make the decison whether your risk having a drink or not.

And for the record, I think Fev should keep drinking! Hes highly amusing. lol

Missy dont take what I was saying out of context. I was merely highlighting differences in the AFLs treatment of players not saying it was an excuse and also pointing out that he is more a a fool than a thug.

As a few on this board already know I drink far too much for my own good but even being a drinker can never understand those who become violent and agressive when on it - getting on the @@@@ is suposed to be fun - getting into fights outside of a ring or footy field arnt fun. If people cannot control their agression on the @@@@ then they should really not drink.

Acording to one report this morning Bazza was egging him on,then another report this arvo said that Bazza was pulling Fev of the trouble maker.Bloody bar man,2 for me 1 for you.

"It wasn't the whole team, there were (some) absolute gentlemen on that team,'' he said.
Let's hope that if any of the Swans were at the bar then that was them, the absolute gentlemen.

This is my favourite bit from that article:

"The Carlton star, kicked off the Australia team, said he boiled over after being "hammered" by Irishmen fuming about the violence in last year's international rules series.

"I just thought I'd take it into my own hands, which was pretty stupid," Fevola said. "

I was sick of people having a go at me about how violent we are so I put the bloke in a headlock. Fev for UN Ambassador!
