    Swans Vs Injuries

I don't know if anyone have come across the articles posted here:
    link.

    Ther are a few posted.
    They're quite interesting.
I know there's been talk Re: the medical department doing things to minimise soft tissue injuries etc but quotes like these

Gibbs says of Hall: "He's 100 kilograms and six foot four inches and runs 12 to 15 kilometres in a game, all in explosive bursts.

"He's going at maximum effort for two hours. That's one City to Surf [14km] flat out. Would you train that hard if you had another City to Surf seven days later? What do you do in between 22 City to Surfs in a row? Flog them? Good luck."
..are really interesting.. (& makes a crap load of sense!)

I've read the first two articles but not the third. Not new, but together they make a convincing case for the way the Swans manage the players' physical capacity and minimise injuries. Of course, as Nathan Gibbs says, you can't plan for luck (Crouch is our classic example), but to some extent you make your own luck. I have no doubt that the medical department gives us an edge. Let's hope we can stay in front a bit longer!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
