    Ablett craves R.E.S.P.E.C.T

I know this is probably not exactly news, but i still get that frustrated feeling in the gut when i read about people doubting Sydney. If clubs like Essendon, Collingwood or Blights' pets the Saints had just fallen 2 points short of going back to back, they'd be raging favourites for the next 3 years and there'd be no word of 'luck' in the air

Despite winning the support of many he has no doubt there will still be plenty of doubters come 2007.

"There are a lot of clubs out there who think we are not worthy but the most important thing individually and from a club level is that we know what we do inside the club and what we stand for and how much work and effort goes into it," he admitted.

Call me cynical, but I've got a feeling in the gut that we won't be in next year's GF. I sense that clubs like Adelaide and Fremantle will improve significantly next year while we maintain our level of ability. That's the way I simply see it.

The club needs the support of supporters. I don't need to read this rubbush. Keep your negative crap off the boards please.

At least you're polite about it, but perhaps you can heed some of your own advice re:Paul Roos.

freo may be a threat but i think adelaide are really going to struggle with the lack of a senior ruckman. doggies might deliver next year. i reckon hawthorn will be the bolter from the cellar.

i think we're still a good chance but once again the grand-finallists will be determined by a combination of skill, teamwork, injury and sheer dumb luck.

At the end of 2005 i never thought we'd make the GF in 2006 and we did. I think clubs like Fremantle and Bulldogs will improve a fair bit but at the same time, we've still got quite a bit of improvement aswell. I know everyone is focusing on Leo, Brett, Baz and Micky and how they aren't getting any younger but our younger players can really step up next year.

Isn't that what you said about this year?

We'll certainly be in the mix, and as you say, depending on the combination of a variety of things will see who'll be there at the end. I totally forgot about the Bulldogs, they look manacing, and they are very well coached.

If he needs respect he's not going to get it from me.

                        He can from me.

I thought Noggy took his game to a new level. He had a lot more freedom to run himself this year and that role suits him.
I'd really like him to nail a couple of long goals from outside 50 tho!

As for the swans - if the footy gods smile on us again re injuries there is nothing stopping us from another good showing in September.

There's another article on him on the Swans website now.

                          Ablett falls short in GF

"The more I think about it the more shattering it is because I didn't play well last year and I was really keen to make amends and I thought I was going ok in the first quarter so for that to happen was just one of those things."
That makes me feel so bad for him.

I felt for him there. I never realised how hurt he is.

I never thought of it that way. Poor Noggy, I have respect for him.
