    Footy on Foxtel 2007

    Have been out of the country for a week...can't spot anything about this matter being settled...can someone clarify or at least summarise latest position?

          No progress. Or at least no announcements I'm aware of. Not sure if the parties are even talking anymore. They have a problem though as the AFL has created these new twighlight games which the networks are struggling to program around.

          Last I heard Foxtel was still offering $25m less than the providers were prepared to accept. They've offered $45m for 4 games. The consortium wants $70m.

          The ABC has re-emerged as a slight chance of taking some games but don't hold your breath on that one.

          I'm hoping that the "announcement" mentioned in Mike_B's post above actually happens so we have clarity on this issue.
