Just ran into mate from the Swans and he said there is gonna be a bit of a re shuffle of the forward line next yr... they're still gonna have the likes of Hall and Micky O up there but there gonna go for a bit more diversity and not use them as focal points as much.

This game is evolving too fast to stick with any one game plan for too long, if you want to remain successful. Still, you would think that there are only so many options for who could effectively play up front and then it becomes a matter of rotation and swapping around players in different positions.Comment

Yeh Gambler, how dare you have the gaul to bring up a topic that probably is true and has merit. You should leave it to the long term gurus like Hammo else sarcasim will prevail.
On your post, I happen to believe it was inevitable that Roos would deviate from his present mixture/game plan and bring in some quirks to keep the other coaches guessing. He has lost his defensive coach who was on stats the best in the business and his midfield coach to other clubs.
And in regards to the coaching positions lost... they are only coaches there are plenty more people out there with different thoughts on how the swans could develop more as a club rather than staying at the same pace cause other wise teams are just gonna figure out how they play and they will b where they were back in the early 90'sComment

Hardly a surprise......
Roos comes up with a new game play every year.....
2006 = Tempo
2005 = Stoppages
2004 = Well let's just forget that one!!
2003 = Play on at all costs
2002 = Get me a permanent job!Comment

Yes, long-term posters are guilty of the same inaccurate posts but after a while you can identify who is unreliable and view their posts with a grain of salt.
In the case of the Gambler, no one knows except for himself whether that is the case. His post contained no sources other than "a mate told me" which in my books would be a far from a reliable piece of information, unless a track record has been established that Gambler's mate does in fact have his finger on the pulse. Time will tell whether that is the case.
For the record, the "new look forward line" may in fact be correct but I don't know how differently it can possibly be if O'Loughlin and Hall are still there."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
