    Goodes family bereavement

I don't know if this has already been discussed here, but I read that Goodesy didn't attend the indigenous players camp in Townsville due to a "family bereavement". I'd like to extend my sympathy to him and his, though I hadn't heard of anything happening, but does anyone know what happened?
I hear not what you say, for the thunder of who you are.

    oh puhlease people......

I'm as big a Swans fan as they come but do we really need to get this involved in the players lives??? I'm quite happy to judge, appraise, speculate, criticise, compliment and examine every move they make on the field, but can't we just let these moments go???

I certainly don't expect the player to actually read or care what people might say on a forum such as this, I read about this in a NEWSPAPER ARTICLE, thought someone who posts on here might know a bit more, no hidden agendas or anything.

Was there not similar sympathy and concern at the time of Kennelly's family tragedy last year?

Is it wrong to show concern for a person who you may not know personally, but for whom you have great admiration and respect? I certainly was concerned to hear about the death of Rove's wife, though I don't know the bloke I still felt sorry for him and read the stories in the paper about them. Is that any different?

Get off your high horse and if you don't agree with what I have asked, don't respond. I don't expect a long discussion or analysis of anything, I was just concerned and interested.

        Whatever.....

Still no one's business no matter who they are.

Fortunately for me, I have much more going on in my life to worry about.

Nothing wrong to send condolences - Better than being cold hearted?
