Is this true or not...The Pig Incident

Not sure if this has been discussed previously but Dave Hughes on his Nova breakfast show in Melbourne broke this story earlier this week.

He claims an ex Swans player has told him that the pig released on the SCG in 93 (I think) sporting the signage "Pluga" was actually co-ordinated by Swans players!?!?! He claims that the pig was brought in by a player who wasn't playing due to injury. Hughsey also claimed that the pig was kept quiet by being fed hash so it was stoned to the eyeballs! The pig was so sedated that it actually stood still on the fence for about 20 minutes before heading off to the pocket. The scenes that unfolded from there well we all remember.

This secret has only just surfaced as the player responsible continnued to play with the Swans (and Plugger) for many years!

Can this/has this been proved to be true?

Thanks Ugg, that article is gold! Paul Kelly was involved, now that is huge... I can't believe that article didn't surface in Melbourne.

Wear a gorilla suit (with #9 St Kilda jumper) and sit a few rows behind the St Kilda cheersquad. Barrack like a gorilla (do gorilla stuff like thump the chest, tear up bits of paper and throw them in the air, eat bananas, that sort of thing) and you'll be sure to have a great time.

And for the Swans, we could have people dressed up as B1 and B2 (the bananas). Sit somewhere nearby but several bays over. At half time walk past the gorilla.
