I guess he will be useful for them as they want a full back to support Fletcher and none of their youngsters are at the point where they can hold down the role full time yet. 'Rebuilding' and 'youth policy' doesn't mean you can't have older, more experienced players to assist in their development. The issue here is that Michael said he was over football and couldn't commit to training full-time so he retired. By now resuming his career at Essendon, the Lions are depreived of compensation for a player who could have commanded a player or 2nd round pick.Originally posted by Annie Haddad
