    The Sydney Swans is a leading AFL club with a unique positioning in the Sydney entertainment and sports market. Following several successful years both on and off the field the Club is at an exciting point of its development. It has a vision to become the pre-eminent sporting brand in Sydney and an integral part of the greater Sydney community. Key to achieving this objective is the appointment of an expert marketing professional who can build the brand and expand the franchise to a new level.

    Reporting to the CEO as a member of the leadership team this role manages a team of 12 people with a brief to develop innovative, commercially driven marketing propositions for the short, medium and long-term . The Club has a number of commercial objectives, including seeking to increase its member base, match day ticket sales and merchandising sales in addition to increasing revenue via fund raising and events. Development of an e commerce proposition will be important as the Club seeks to develop in-depth relationships with its supporters.

    Relationship development with key stakeholders within the AFL, Sydney community and mass media will be required as the Club broadens the supporter base into western Sydney, Canberra and other key markets in addition to building the profile of the Club in Sydney.

    Your background should include blue-chip consumer marketing experience in consumer services or consumer goods where brand building is a key platform and entrepreneurial/innovative marketing is a major driver of growth. Experience of new and mass media, e-commerce/online and high frequency promotions is required as is exposure to leveraging sponsorship and partner agreements. You will be a business builder and will relish leading from the front in an exciting ?can do? environment. Highly professional, you will view this as one the most exciting opportunities of your career.

            All you need is a resume full of bull and a few mates masquerading as "fake" referees. Thats how these jobs are obtained, is that not correct?
