    Another Daniher lost?

Is it me or do we always seem to miss out on potential father/son recruits due to moving too slowly - Or is this Daniher possibly not so promising?

When a kid lives down the road from one of two clubs he is eligible for, and barracks for that club, the other is always going to have their work cut out to lure him away. That said, the article reports he is training with the Bombers, not that he's already committed to them.

Out of curiousity, what other FS potentials have the Swans lost out on through moving too slowly?

Earlier this year the potential recruitment of Greg Williams' son was (perhaps incorrectly) perceived as Carlton moving before the Swans and having one up on the Swans.

Their advantage though, was being based in the State that the young Williams lives in.

I think father sons are a bit over-rated. For every Jonathon Brown there is a Jason Cloke. Clubs need to weigh up carefully what pick any potential father-son would usually command in the draft. There is no indication that Williams is going to be a gun anyway - you would think not given he was passed up by Carlton as a potential father-son this year.

But they also passed Greg on as "too alow" when he was on their list first time around.
