That is the location but I think we are talking about Row J.

Seems that is where the fish wife sits. Cheers!

Yeah, just Melbourne. I decided to go the whole hog (whilst ripping off Citbank in the process) & taking out not just Sydney but Melbourne membership this year. I always reckon the Melbourne office do a heaps better job for the fans down there than the lot up here do, which as a sydneysider I find disappointing to be honest.

They get a members lanyard for their membership cards. Sydney don't.

They get club organised away trips in a group to home matches. Sydney haven't don't that since the CS stopped bothering to run them back in 1996/1997. Oh how the Sydney-based Cheer Squad could benefit in terms of numbers & enthusiasm if the club DID organised budget-priced coach trips for NSW-based fans; our numbers were the best they ever were in 1996/97 as a result of the trips we made then.

Every Melbourne-based member gets a "Swans Advantage Card" which gives you 5% off all purchases on merchandise that you buy from the Melbourne-based office. Meanwhile Sydney gets a third party mailing house www.Playbill.com.au to do the whole lot of their merchandise orders & manages to jack up the prices a fair bit as well. I like knowing that I'm dealing with a club employee who not only know what products she has but knows me personally as a supporter. It just makes you want to do business again with them more in future.

The Melbourne based membership arrived in January. The Sydney ones will not arrive till at the earliest mid March. Hmm.

I know the Sydney-based membership team have a far far bigger job. and have been placed under a great deal more duress as a result of the loss of GA hill memberships. But I always feel that the Melbourne office do the little things 1000% better than they do up here. And they do it with a smile as well.

Oh, some of you lot are really going to love this next bit. In the mail today I received a nice shiny membership renewal pamphlet for............................................... .................

              you guessed it, Port Adelaide!

Yep, because I bought an away match ticket through Bass SA last year, I am now subjected to the trauma of seeing Warren Tredrea peering at me through clear plastic.

All I can say is that I'm looking forward to hearing the reaction when a certain listee north of the Hawkesbury received the same special gift of love from the club he truly cherishes in South Australia.

Port must be bloody desperate if they are sending out membership application forms to every single ticket buyer who bought a ticket through Bass SA.

                It's been happening for years.

I never used to fail to get a Kangaroos membership package courtesy of buying tickets for the Manuka match. I'm sure others did as well.
