    Swans to raise their game

    Our tackling techniques

The Swans have worked on tackling technique with Waratahs assistant coach Les Kiss and yesterday took the opportunity to look at how the Waratahs do things.
AFL crossed with NRL...there's going to be more physicality in the Swans side this year.

    LOL, it's actually Rugby Union.

Les Kiss is actually a former Rugby League player who just happens to be giving defensive coaching to a Rugby Union side.

So your initial post was more correct than you realised!
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

          What a good thing.
Looking forward to some awesome tackling this year.

Goal kicking practice would be more useful

              LOL.

Haven't they done the tackling with a league/union team before, and they still failed to tackle properly.

And wasn't Les Kiss the thug winger from Manly, who king hit an unsuspecting kiwi, in an international?

From memory, they did the league tackling thing back in 2004.

It worked well for one and a half seasons (in that we saw some awesome tackles, and then all of a sudden they seemed, to me, too "shy" to tackle or had forgotton the workshop).

To me at least, our tackling last year wasn't as good as previous years.

I remember it was one of the first things that was commented on (apart from Cappers shorts) when the Swans relocated, that their tackling had improved due to the involvement of Rugby League coaches.

Isnt that what they have been doing for the past few years, I would rather watch Aussie Rules than this crap. The AFL may have a point about Roosy and his desire to change the game. You can rely on the AFL to amend the rules agin if they see this garbage on going.
