      At the time it was

I'm going overseas on Friday for most of the year and will only be making a dash return if we make the Grand Final.

Go to Telstra and have a bud send you SMS updates. After all how often can you sing your lungs out at the footy (the way you enjoy) without being told to sit down or having something pelted at your head.

Too bad it's not at Aussie Stadium
That would make it worse. I'd pass people I know who'll give me the death stare and will more than likely call me traitor etc etc. (Wait till Beaussie sees this thread; I will NEVER hear the end of it.)

I did it once back in 1992 when the Raiders played Souths at the SFS & the Swans played Fitzroy. Don't ever want to do that again.

I fail to see what the problem is. It's Swans or nothing in my book.

That soccer match is a friendly = a nothing game. If it mean't something I could understand the problem. As it is I can't.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I agree! i think a lot of event goers are going to be a bit disapointed in the game. How can it match a world cup qualifier?

Some people I have been talking to seem to think it will be as exciting just due to it having the same opponent! I can't see how that is even possible. It's like us playing West Coast in the NAB cup.

I was planning on going to the soccer, but since a Swans game is on, that's where I intend to be. I don't see the point in forking out money for two events on the same night and the Swans got my money first.

I'd find it hard to imagine anybody would see the point.

Big Dave (aka dad) and I chat about this often, look if this is a nothing game I would miss it with ease...

WC qualifier..and I am there.... only afl finals would keep me away

but at the end of the day it will all rely upon where we are on the ladder, if they are doing well, they can win without me, swans doing not so well need my vocal support...

I'm getting good practice for June 02 on Friday night. I have to choose between the practise match at North sydney against the Pies or the important and one-off Sydney Kings home final against either Townsville or Singapore.

Having been a part of the Kings season awards after the Slingers match on Sunday, i have chosen to support the Kings on Friday, as have the rest of my lot as well.

The Kings result determines their season. The Swans' one determines very very little to be honest. It is just a bummer that both games are on at the same time, but that's life I guess.
