You've delibrately taken me out of context to suit your flawed argument.

I have consistently said that AFL doesn't rate in Sydney which is why the free to air networks shaft supporters up here by showing night games in the early hours of the morning.

Foxtel provides the only viable solution because ratings are not important and they are commited to showing events live. You'll find most AFL supporters in Sydney will either already have Foxtel (it was incredibly valuable with Fox Footy to keep up with footy news) or will now consider getting it.

The uncommited fans who may follow the Swans and nothing else will still see the Swans live on free to air as they always have.

These people will not tune in to see Port play Hawthorn on a Friday night - never have, never will. You are running a pretty desperate argument if you think games like that will have any effect in promoting the game in Sydney.

I agree with Sanecow regarding your availability argument. It is available to all - either at home should they want to pay for it or for free down at the pub.

Sorry mate. Simple arithmetical error. Never thought it was. All better now.

Puh-lease! Brown leather jackets in the Eastern Suburbs! Are you serious? Try the North Shore. Black's the only colour used on leather in the Eastern Suburbs.

To a Westie, anything East of Ryde is East even if it's North or South.

How can that be? The western suburbs start at St Ives!

                  Source?

Dodging and ignoring questions. Come on, you can do better.
So according to your logic, I can fly over to Perth, have a swim in your pool, have a spa at your place, followed by a sauna, then a work out in your gym. After all they are all available for purchase in the west aren't they. If I can't do that at your place, then I'll stay here at Pucka, except I have to share the pool, sauna and gym with the rest of the Pucka community.

BTW I have no source for experience and word of mouth. The majority of people I speak to or have dealt with do not have pay Tv because they cannot afford it.

Tickets are available to you. A pool, sauna and gym are available to me; I choose not to purchase these readily available items (I don't expect someone else to provide them to me for free). I wouldn't let you in the spa because it would be inappropriate.

Almost all of the less financially enabled households I've seen have Foxtel.

You and every other tax payer provide the gym, pool and sauna that I have access to.

Yeah, I can never work that out, although it reminds me of someone that used to spend all of their pension on flash furniture then do the rounds of all the welfare organisations in Richmond for food vouchers.

Stop it. You're making me blush and giggle like a little school girl.

So it's OK for you to insist everyone else provide a source to confirm the veracity of their supposition/argument but when someone OBVIOUSLY takes the @@@@, you get all indignant over it.

It's a two way discussion here. Fine if you don't like someone's comment, don't respond. You make a gross generalisation of :

Almost all of the less financially enabled households I've seen have Foxtel.
And expect that the word you have spoken will be accepted as gospel by all and sundry.

Double standards might be well and good in your world, but this is a shared community, not your own personal soap box.

I merely wondered if there was one before I offered my anecdotal evidence.

Feel free to visit you local housing trust areas; ciggies and Foxtel are essential items. For example:

What are you living in a rubbish dump?

Foxtel costs $37 a month. Even dole bludgers can afford that. I know this because I was once on the dole, and had Foxtel.

It?s $8 a week dude. If you are sharing a house its $4 a week each.

                              You are just a liar.
