Collingwood on the NSW Central Coast

Took my 5 yr old to the Auskick session last night with the Magpies and it was very well done.

All the names were there except for Wakelin.

About 200 to 300 kids in attendance. The session went for an hour with 1/2 hour autograph afterwords. Yeah couldn't help myself but had the Auskick hat autographed and got some great photo's of my son with some of the stars.

That night, there was a coaching forum and one of our coaches (Gosford Tigers) said that it was very professionally done and he was impressed with what Malthouse had to say about training kids.

The Club did the schools today and big dinner tonight.

Even though I hate Collingwood, I have to admit it was very good.

My son liked Paul Licuria and Dale Thomas especially. I got a great photo with them. Neon Leon was funny and some of the younger guys were good.

A positive step for expanding AFL in the local kids. The only negative we have had this week was that our Club (Gosford Tigers) has had a drop in rego's this year with some of the kids going back to soccer.

They'll see the light one day.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

What sort of parent are you? You should not, under any circumstances, be encouraging your children to like anything about Collingwood. You may be setting them on the path to a life of football misery, should they adopt the black and white as their team. Don't make us set DOCS onto you but we will, for their own good.

Seriously though, good to see the Magpies promoting the game on the Central Coast. Check out the new look Buckley here: http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/foo...E19742,00.html He looks like the Michelin Man.

      Too bloody right !

Especialy that Licuria bloke, he spends way too much time on sunbeds, poor example to the kids.

        That can't be buckley. Surely.
That person looks like they're on the roids.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
