Lazy Sydney journos must just trawl RWO for story ideas. It's uncanny the number of threads that get turned into SMH or Tele stories.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
Get some perspective guys. This is a nice little colour piece, not intended to be analytical. Just like almost every article written about a club's preseason preparations. He's found an interesting angle and written a good story about why they did it and what they think they've got out of it.
I'm sure Hinds does look at RWO from time to time, but to suggest that he couldn't have come up with this angle on his own indicates a rather inflated sense of your own importance.
There's a sense of Howard/Costello about the Roos/Longmire relationship. Just how long will the understudy's hang around waiting patiently for the top job?
I guess the one difference is that Costello didn't go and interview for the Labor leadership in the off season!
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Erm, the main difference being there's 13 other top jobs running around and if he was offered one tomorrow he'd be out the door in a flash. After missing the Saints job he was very close to leaving anyway to broaden his experience. This was the main reason he stayed.

Just as long as it is not the Abbott/Costello show.
yeah, as if consecutive grand finals and a premiership would require hard work, meticulous planning and (even in this day and age) judicious delegation of important tasks.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Now that that's all done and dusted it's far more important that Roosy gets to hang with the NRL refs and finish his 18 holes of golf.
