    New AFL Site

Australian Football League. All the latest AFL news, AFL video, results, scores and information

Layout seems OK, but it is very busy.

The font in their articles appears to be a bit small.

PS: anyone with RSS feeds from AFL.com, the URLs have changed.

No worse or better than the previous.
I liked it better when all the coming up games and required information were right there for all to see without searching for them.

      New AFL website

The AFL has a few choice words to say to you. And those words are, "Au test/ test test test". And as I write, they've been up there 2 hours 36 minutes.

There's 'beta' (IT-speak for 'we couldn't be bothered testing it in-house'), and then there's just incompetent. The new AFL site falls on the wrong side of that line right now.

Can anyone see the results from the NAB CUP RESULTS page? My flash player appears to be up to date.

The page I'm refering to is Here.

It doesn't work for me and I've tried two different browsers.

It's insanely slow, although it works eventually (I'm using Firefox).

I went to try and provide feedback on the site (coz its officially still beta). You click the link, it has nowhere to fill anything in, but there's a submit link, so you click that thinking it might open up an input form, but no, it just goes to a page saying thank you.

It's typical Telstra c**p - breaking almost every rule of good web design. Much of the non-standard stuff will get blocked by corporate firewalls/filters.

The only stuff they make easy to find is the stuff you have to pay for.

                            Process http://www.afl.com.au thru this website...

....and then check out the accessibility tab to see just how many rules it breaks.

                            Feed it thru this one....

W3C's easy-to-use markup validation service, based on SGML and XML parsers.

...to see that they can't even code properly - the home page has 153 syntax errors (that number will probably vary as the content varies)

Telstra make some of the worst websites I have seen.
