Good simulation for playing at Telstra Dome.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Sort of blows-to-bits the whole theory of keeping our players in cotton wool to prevent needless injuries....

Micky O's, Spida's, Doyle's, and Jolly's knees will be shaking and the thought of playing on a country concrete paddock....

Whilst it's a bit scary in the current drought conditions, the idea has merit.

I'm sure the people of the Riverina will welcome the opportunity to see two top sides have a local run (well, one top side and one mediocre one - but you can't be too picky!!).

Does anyone know what the gound was like at Manuka last week? Has Canberra had decent rain recently?

If Roosey is as smart as everyone says, he'll keep the oldies in cotton wool and maybe not play them for the whole game.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

According to Riverina locals on Big Footy they have known about this game for some time and the ground is in top shape. I'm not surprised - drive through just about any Riverina town and the only green to be seen is on the local rec, usually via bore water.

The last few weeks has seen decent rain on most nights due to persistent storms.

                Have a look at todays news . . .

                Storms lash Canberra

It rained the night before the game last week, but they were still watering the middle of the pitch about half an hour before kick-off. I dont know about the actual condition, but it looked really green

I think its been raining down there all week and last night they got snow, hail and flash flooding!

Wow. That's huge!! Haildrifts up to 1m deep! Wow.
Poor Canberra. If it's not the pollies, it's the bloody weather.

Hopefully the ground retains the moisture to make it easier on some of our "older" bones!!

                        NARRANDERA CLUB MOTOR INN

Has a pool and is just accross the road from the RSL(?).

They have family rooms and disabled suites, so you should be right.

Been a few years since we stayed there but it was nice and clean.

                        Reasonable rates too.

Half a millions bucks for lights for your footy oval seems a tad extravagant for a town forced to "tightent its belt" - they could have kept a 100 shearers drunk for a fortnight with that sort of money.
