Ashley Sampi, the troubled Eagle trying to revive his ailing career, is embroiled in another off-field controversy, claiming he may not be the father of his former girlfriend's nine-week-old baby.
Christina Taylor confirmed yesterday that she and Sampi will visit a Perth laboratory on Tuesday for DNA tests to establish the paternity of her daughter, Ashlyn Isobel, born on December 27.
She had not seen or spoken to Sampi since he walked out last June when she was nine weeks' pregnant. Taylor, 23, said she and Sampi had planned the pregnancy and he had been over the moon when she told him she was pregnant. She was certain he was Ashlyn's father.
