    Wooden Spooners?

Will one of these teams get the wooden gong?

My prediction this year are the bushrats.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Another nail in the coffin for the Roos.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I'd like to know what the betting is for Carlton making the 8. Could be an interesting year for the navy blues.

Ther was an article in the HS yesterday. Some Collingwood tragic has his van covered in anti Carlton signs.

            "Carlton 3-peat 05-06-07"

            Something along the lines of
"Why does Billioniare Pratt need to spend so much to buy a wooden spoon, when Coles sells them for $1.50"

            And a few others.

Joffa will probably send them a "Threepeat" wooden spoon.

Says a lot about the prestige of the NAB Cup. The suggestion is that Brissie will effectively thro this week's semi as they don't want their senior players travelling for a third week.

You can almost feel the Cats cringing - if they win the NAB Cup again, are they just setting themselves up for another H&A disappointment like 2006?

It's become the competition that only the poor kids want to win.

If they AFL had more incentive for clubs to put their best 22 on the field then all clubs would take it seriously.

As it stands it's a playground for the AFL to trial new rules so the clubs trial new players.

The incentive to win the double premiership is too extreme. How about your final position in the NAB cup can determine if you get more or less home games? A salary cap increase for the next season?

Anything that will get all clubs to take the pre-season cup seriously.
