Good article.
This was an interesting comment...

The way the Swans players turned on teammate Nick Davis last year after he claimed in the media he was "the scapegoat" for Sydney's mid-season struggles seemed over the top for anybody within mainstream society.

We all know that it wasn't that Nick spoke, it was what he said when he did speak.
Spida will be fine."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

True. Tim Morrissey caught him in the carpark just after he'd found out he was being sent to Canberra and in the middle of a barrage of questions asked "Do you feel like you've been made a scapegoat?" and Nick said "Yeah, I guess.".Originally posted by BeeEmmAre

To keep it in context- the game before being dropped he had 9 disposals and 1 goal in a loss; Jolly, O'Keefe, Dempster and McVeigh all had the same or less touches and played the following week. The week before that Davis was, arguably, BOG with 17 disposals and 4 goals in a victory. In the WCE game that Davis was dropped for 9 Swans had 9 disposals or less.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

... For the WCE game he was replaced by Phillips, who had one kick if my memory serves me correctly.True. It doesn't.
Eight possessions, three tackles, and a very good overhead mark.
Not worldbeating stats but in possession terms not that different to those Davis gained in the Adelaide game, the last before he was dropped.
