Is Leo being greedy?

Actually used to work in the legal field just as a secretary. Went into work to catch up with work friends the other day and was reading the lawyer magazine and it had an article on Leo's case in there. Basically what I posted were the facts from that article!

Anyway, let's hope Leo is playing this Friday. He did not play last week.

There's another thread floating around somewhere on this particular subject.... And of course, the in house RWO lawyers have been out in force .... But, I think they've really been caught out badly this time. If you think about it, the AFL gets it's money from more sources than just it's TV deals... That's just the big one they like to publicise!!!

Merchandising, advertising, sponsorships, endorsements, you name it, That's where they make their money. They will be absolutely petrified of the precedent that this could set. Hence, why they are keen to settle.

Just yesterday there was an article in the Australian on how they released only two of hundreds of pics of the fracas between Crawford and the Dockers. You want more, you have to but them. From guess who?? Their "official" photographer (Who just happens to be friends with Demetriou, but that's another thread ) And guess what, you have to bid to be a photographer. Again, another lucrative income source for the AFL.

But bully to them. They're a hell of a lot smarter than every other footy code in Australia and they protect their "assets" with great venom.

When you are trying to make out that you are smarter than your fellow RWO posters it would help if you have some kind of reason other than an over-active imagination.

Again, taking something completley out of context just so you can have a pathetic snipe.

The reference is to the AFL. Even a complete moron would see that... Well there's always an exception to the rule....

Maybe... but just look at the way the AFL handled the multi-media issue as opposed to the NRL. I'm no fan of Demetriou, but I think he's a lot smarter operator than Gallop... Or at least has a whole lot better team supporting him!
