The Swans will play some underdone senior players in the reserves next week.

So based on the interview Roos gave today, Crouch is in the mix for round 1 and Ablett & Scheinder are extremely likely by round 3 at the latest.

That only leaves Doyle, LRT & Grundy as top 28 players who will be missing for the first 6 weeks or so.

Doyle has a replacement in Everitt, LRT while hard to replace in our structure can be covered by Vogels, Richards or Dempster depending on height requirements and Grundy is still probably outside the 22 at present.

As long as we don't cop anything bad early in the season, we should be able to hit the ground running straight from round 1 if the rumours are true that we are more advanced than recent years.

Promising news re Schneider and Ablett

Seems like they're not too far away from returning to the playing field. Schneider sounds like he may be a chance to return to the senior team as early as round 2 or 3, with Ablett probably a week or two behind him.
