    Omens pointing to flag!

In both years that Sydney made the GF, there has been omens that have remained consistent, and it's happening again.

In 2005, Carlton won the pre-season cup. Sydney lost to WC by 4 points in the quater final, then reversed the result in the GF, and a WC player won the Brownlow. 2006, Sydney defeated the Eagles in the qualifying final by 1 point, and the result was reversed in the GF, a Sydney player won the Brownlow.

Here were are in 2007, and guess who won the pre-season competition? if the win/loss trend continues between Sydney and West Coast, and we don't meet them in the finals until the GF, the omens are pointing our way!!

Not really. If we don't meet them again until the GF then it won't be a replica of the previous years. If we do meet them again then we need to win/loss trend to change.

There is also the fact that the Swans have mirrored the formof my eldest brother's bowls team over the last 2 years.

Good as an omen so far...they are into the finals..finished on top of the ladder.

Our omens are that in 2005 Mrs gs14 was pregnant. She is pregnant again, so I'm looking at history repeating.

EDIT: Post your congrats here, not in this thread please

                      Arrogant Sydney supporters...

The omen I'm banking on is that our run to the 2005 flag arguably started after we lost a game by a point at the MCG, to Richmond...and the score was 85-84. Read into that what you will.

hey thats not silly - I leased a Camry in 2005 - last year I went back to a Corolla and looked what happened we lost and I had a prang on GF night, this year its back to the Camry which I pick up in a few weeks time! So dont knock anything that clearly worked in 2005!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

We fielded a team in 2005 and we are doing it again this year?
