Harsh and unbalanced, so far as we know, he didnt show up for 2 training sessions, not run down innocent old ladies in his hummer.

I really cannot see how anyone can find pleasure in this news, at any level. It (the news) is just sad. If it was Goodes or Kirk I would hope that other club's supporters felt sympathy rather than took delight in the misfortune of another. He is someone's son, someone's boyfriend, plenty of people's friend, and obviously struggling to keep his life in some sort of order.

The club seems to be in a mess and I cannot see how that is a good thing either. It does nothing for the rivarly between the club's that has been building the last few years, and does nothing at all for the code generally.

That so many here have gloated over this, and seem to take pleasure from a very sad turn of events, reflects badly on us all as fans, and as people, and I think reflects badly on us a club.

I do not want to condone anything that he may or may not have done, or apologise for, or make excuses for Cousins. I just don't get any pleasure at all from the fact that this has happened.

I think Chad Fletcher racked up 39 possessions in the first practice match after the Vegas story really exploded.

At the start of 2006 when the whole Michael Gardiner thing started to go pear-shaped, I thought that it would put the Weagles off their stride, and that in such an even competition, could seriously affect their ability to win the flag. Truth be told, it didn't trouble them too much at all; if anything, they really started to play some good footy after he was given his marching orders for good. Round 1 is still a 50/50; let alone the rest of the season.
